Data

The mechanical dataset

Real design failures and the fixes engineers made, verified by re-running the physics. Built for training, evaluation and RL.

Sec_001 · One record

One failure, one fix, proven by physics

1 · Before
Design fails

Breaches a numeric limit written in the spec: stress, temperature, pressure drop.

2 · Change
One fix, one reason

Change table with old and new values, the rationale, and the options ruled out.

3 · After
Design passes

Same limit, identical simulation conditions, verified from solver files.

Models learn a skill from examples of that skill. These are examples of the skill that is not online: how an engineer took a failing part, made it pass, and kept it something a factory can make by the thousand.

What a single record looks like

The manifest below is the record on the home page, trimmed. The before and after states each carry their own STEP file and solver-native results. The change log records what moved, by how much, why, and which alternatives were rejected. The verification report is produced by re-running the fixed design under the original conditions.
